The hotel benefits from its beautiful views of the city centre. A mere 10-15 minutes walk from Croke Park home of GAA, and just three kilometres from the city centre, on the main route to Dublin's international airport.

This is a large, whitewashed, traditional building with attractive surroundings. The main house of the hotel dates back over 200 years.

The lobby is medium in size, with plenty of seating available, and the decor consists of mahogany wood and deep red furnishings.

The main restaurant in the Hotel is the Shanard restaurant, which serves extensive a la carte and Ttable d'Hote menus.

The hotel has 282 bedrooms, which all have en-suite bathrooms and are mostly medium in size. The rooms have been renovated quite recently and are in good condition; some command a view of Dublin city. All have direct-dial telephones, tea/coffee-making facilities, satellite television, hair dryer and trouser press.

The hotel also has a lively bar and lounge. This hotel also has a new leisure centre, which provides guests with a fusion of health, fitness and relaxation. It is situated midway between the city centre and the airport and is a short cab ride to either.
